How We Verify
Verification Standards
Every member is verified by a person, not a form.
OnlyPros is a members-only platform for Canadian first responders and frontline workers. Nobody sees an offer, a code or a partner link until their eligibility has been reviewed and approved. There is no self-declared membership and no “verify later”.

Private security is not eligible. Retired members are eligible with proof of service. The full list, kept current, is on Do I Qualify?.
What We Check
Government photo ID, plus proof of service.
Each applicant submits government photo ID and at least one of the following:
- •Department, service or agency photo ID or badge
- •A current pay stub showing the employer
- •Union or association membership card
- •Letter of employment or service on department letterhead
- •For retirees: pension statement or retirement certificate
Documents are reviewed by a human reviewer who is a serving career firefighter. The name on the ID must match the name on the proof of service and the name on the account.
Applications that do not match, are unreadable, or show an ineligible role are sent back or declined.
What We Keep
Documents stay with us. Only the decision stays on file.
- •Documents are stored encrypted and are visible only to OnlyPros administrators during review.
- •After a decision, the member record keeps name, profession category, department or service, the decision, and the date.
- •OnlyPros never sells member data and never shares documents with anyone, including partners.
What a Partner Can See
Enough to audit every code. Nothing that identifies a person.
For each code issued under their offer, a partner receives the member's first name, profession category, OnlyPros member number, the date, and the code itself.
Partners never receive surnames, email addresses, phone numbers, documents or home addresses. Aggregate reporting is grouped so that no group smaller than ten members is shown.
Keeping It Honest
One member, one code, one account.
- •Codes are single-use and tied to one member. Sharing or reselling a code ends the membership.
- •Members can be asked to re-verify at any time.
- •Partners can report suspected misuse to us directly; every report is reviewed.
